Near Whistable - a sandy and shingle composition 0.4 miles away. Located to the east of Whistable harbour. At the head of the bech is a path running the length with a grassy bank, ideal for picnics. The beach itself is shingle with regular groynes. Unusually, at low tide a shingle spit appears known locally as 'the Spit' and you can walk out to sea (watch out for the tide though)
Hampton Pier East Beach
Near Whistable - a sandy shingle and muddy composition 0.4 miles away. A shingle headed beach with sand and some mud as the tide goes out. The Spa Esplanade runs along the head of the beach with an easy walk to Herne Bay to the east.
