The Crook is a quaint semi-detached wing of the owners home set in the heart of the village of Great Urswick, three miles from Ulverston. With one bedroom and a modern shower room, this cottage can sleep two people.The rest of the cottage is made up of an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for one car and a decked patio garden with furniture. The Crook is a lovely, rural base for exploring the Lake District, and is an idea, romantic retreat.

Bardsea Beach
Near Bardsea - Ulverston - a sandy and shingle composition 2.0 miles away. Located on the north eastern side of the Furness peninsula at Bardsea, close to Ulverston. The Beach overlooks Morcambe bay and Ulverston Sands, care should be made regarding tide times and mud hazards if venturing too far from the land.
Aldingham Beach
Near Aldingham - a sandy and pebble composition 2.6 miles away. Initially a pebble beach at its head, sand appears as the tide goes out. This beach on the Furness peninsula faces east into Morcambe Bay but be aware of mud in the bay when the tide goes out. There is a small place to park next to toilets close to the beach
Canal Foot Beach
Near Ulverston - a marsh and sandy composition 3.3 miles away. The head of the beach has a short section of salt marsh, not too appealing but it is good for the views.
Newbiggin Beach
Near Newbiggin - a sandy shingle and rocky composition 3.4 miles away. Located on the eastern side of the Furness Peninsula in a quiet location with a small amount of parking. Good for the views out to Morecambe bay and for a walk , but not a bathing beach.
Askam-in-Furness Beach
Near Askam-in-Furness - a sandy composition 4.1 miles away. Located on the edge of Duddong sands looking out onto the Duddong Channel. a good sandy beach, even at high tide there is a good amount of sand. There is also what appears to be a stone Pier but in fact is made up of old slag from nearby Ironworks which have long gone. A good beach but few facilities.
