The Cotswolds AONB Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is located in south west England and covers approximately 800 square miles of beautiful rolling countryside, with picture perfect villages and towns with the distinctive golden / honey coloured stone that prevails in the area.
The Cotswolds is such a large area it covers five counties, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire & Worcestershire, each subtly different yet still attractive and just waiting to be explored. The area is very popular with walkers and cyclists with routes right across the area and covering diverse landscapes, further information and guides can be found from tourist offices.
