Only 6 miles from Penrith (M6, junction 40), where there is a golf course. Fishing and riding are available within 3 miles. Askham outdoor heated swimming pool, 1 mile. There are many local walks on the edge of the Lake District National Park, with Ullswater 4 miles and Keswick 16 miles away. To the east is the beautiful Eden Valley, to the north Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish border country. A perfect holiday base. Shop 1 mile, two pubs 1 mile.
