St. Ives lies near the south west tip of Cornwall facing out into St Ives Bay and the Atlantic. Once a very busy fishing port , and indeed Cornwall's busiest Pilchard port at one time, the town has obvious links to its past through the buildings and layout of this charming destination.
The town is a very popular holiday destination with a number of hotels in St Ives and further in nearby Carbis Bay and Hayle where visitors come for its beaches , local scenery and as we have mentioned the charm of this fishing town. The nearby beaches of Porthmeor Beach facing north into the Atlantic is popular firth Surfers, while the more sheltered Porthminster Beach is great for families and children.
