This charming 200 year old semi-detached holiday cottage is full of character and is situated in the village of Bowness, in the heart of the Lake District. The leisure complex, for which their is no additional charge, includes a gym, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool and is a five minute walk away.
In addition to the fantastic walks for all abilities there are numerous attractions for all the family. Windermere lake cruises sail daily between Bowness, Ambleside and Lakeside, where you can also board the Haverthwaite steam train.
In the centre of Bowness, there is the World of Beatrix Potter, the home of Peter Rabbit and friends. Golf, horse riding are also available locally. The Windermere ferry from Bowness to Far Sawrey takes 10 minutes and runs daily every 30 minutes; from here you can walk to Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's former home, and now run by the National Trust, the Tower Arms in the village is also worth a visit for lunch! There are many excellent shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the cottage, some of which are dog friendly.
